i'm trying to concentrate but a neighbor is yapping at her teenage son. i pity the father who happens to be a cousin. he's rendered aside when the woman rants. when another neighbor made a status out of her, that woman went to the neighbor and told her that she has no right to talk about her because she's not the one feeding her anyway. this is what is known as "squatter mentality" - the incessant ranting without regard for the neighbors. it's crass behavior.

it's the same principle as one can take a person out of the province but the province can't be taken out of the person. in other words, no matter how much education one has, if that person is crass, that person is crass and has no manners.

i have had my share of such people and the sad part, they're in the academe. when they face students, they wear their polite and respectful masks, in the hope that they will be liked and loved. some succeed in deceiving students. again, sad. yet, there are those who are already rude in and out. they are being true so it's useless to be irritated with them because they show their true selves. what's worse are people who attack and yap over some baseless issue. people who just yap without reason. of course, i've experienced that but i'm too well-taught with manners to answer them back. i just believe in karma. what people do to me go back to them a thousand fold and i don't have to lift a finger. if i were vindictive, the cycle will not stop. energy will be wasted. i'm not to keen on being consumed by revenge. the world, make that, MY world is too pretty to be wasted on wrecking havoc.

oooooh. the woman has ceased. i think the boy spoke but he'll never be listened to. i wonder how the boy feels knowing that daddy just kept silent and laughed.
